Fieldguard Electric Fence Energisers
| These energisers have the advantage of being easily movable
from field to field or used where no mains supply is readily to hand.
For permanent systems it is advisable to install mains powered units. They are more powerful than battery units and do not need constant battery attention. They use minimal amounts of power but do need to be housed under cover. They also need to be very well earthed with an earth rod at least 3m long (or double sided 1.5m rod is sufficient). The Patriot range are a breakthrough in energiser technology in two ways. It is solid state, which means that the components are very hardy indeed and can withstand being dropped, stood upon and immersed under water. They are also the first range of energisers that can be run from either a car battery, or from the mains. When used with a battery, a 12 volt wet (car/leisure) battery lasts around 4-6 weeks between charges. |
